at least 6 episodes in 12 months : genital herpes or any kind of herpes / erythema multiforme
ophtalmologic disease due to HSV
patients under radiotherapy or chimiotherapy with an immunity temporary altered
renal transplant population : grafts tended to survive longer in ACV treated patients
