OLD TIMES BEFORE ACICLOVIR
Many different treatments : local -oral - IV
- ineffective AND / OR dangerous
A few immunocompromised patients
- transplanted or under radiotherapy or chimiotherapy
- no AIDS
Good pronostic for the others excepted
- neonates - pregnant women
- herpes encephalitis in young adults
